Laura M. Peterman

Laura has exclusively practiced family and juvenile law since 1996. Within this area of practice, Laura’s work primarily involves divorce, dissolution, child custody, child support, modification of parental rights and responsibilities, and court appointments for guardian. Her work on court appointments for guardian includes investigation of abuse, neglect, and dependency allegations; reporting to the court the results thereof; and making recommendations in the best interests of the child or children. Additionally, Laura is on the court appointed guardian list for juvenile and domestic court in Franklin County.

Laura practices primarily in Delaware, Licking, Madison, Fairfield, and Franklin Counties. Her work has also occurred in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Branch. Laura is also a member of both the Central Ohio Juvenile Law Association and the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Laura has a 1983 Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University and a 1986 Juris
Doctorate from Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law. She was admitted to the practice of law in the state of Ohio in November of 1986.
